Fees Fees are based on the usual and customary rates for Psychologists and Psychological Assistants in this area. Payment is made at each therapy session by check or cash. We can provide you with a monthly statement that you may submit for reimbursement from your insurance company.
Insurance We are not listed providers for any insurance company, but many plans do provide out-of network reimbursement for mental health services. We do not bill insurance companies (since we are paid directly by the patient), but are able to provide a monthly statement that can be used for filing claims with your insurance company.
Cancellation Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. You will be billed for missed appointments that are not cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled time. If you need to cancel or change an appointment, you may leave a message on the therapist's voice mail.
Confidentiality Discussions with a licensed psychologist are confidential, which means they are protected by law. We may not disclose confidential information about you without your consent. There are situations, however, in which we are legally required to break confidentiality. These include the following circumstances:
If I believe you are in danger of harming yourself or another person
If I suspect abuse or neglect of a child, older adult, or dependent adult
If you are unable to provide basic care for yourself
If I am court-ordered to release information as part of a legal proceeding
